No air conditioning is brutal on a 97-degree summer night! The listings mention that there’s no air conditioning, just a fan to keep you cool (ish). The area heading towards train station seems pretty rough, but the area near the apartment itself is nice.

The beds were comfortable and a fully stocked kitchen (glassware cookware ect) a plus. First floor was convenient, do keep in mind for summertime no a/c but fans throughout. We loved the bar Chez Jeannette, and had a really lovely meal at Hotel Providence. Would recommend booking on busy nights. Minor downsides... We were looking to stay in le marais, and this was outside the area, but still a good location. A lack of blinds on the velux windows, and a bit of trouble getting the sofa bed to work, but have reported this to Raphael and I'm sure he'll get it sorted. Thank you for a great stay! See less

Was a short stay due to unexpected circumstances but it was clean and Raphael was welcoming even when we showed up early for check in.

Great place to stay for large group up to 8. The 3 bedrooms are roomy and all mattresses, including sofa bed in living room, very comfortable. Towels and linens for everyone available. This was a wonderful place to stay for our family's 1st visit to Paris!

Really close to all the major attractions and the surrounding neighbourhood has some great food spots and good shops. The home was spotless - we were so impressed by how clean it was! The beds are seriously comfortable too! Would definitely recommend Raphael's place to any group looking for accommodation in Paris. It's exactly as it looks in the pictures too! See less

Overall we had a good stay in this flat. Raphael is very responsive and accommodating when we asked questions or needed to drop our luggage early . Also it was easy to find and access once we arrived. Below is our pros and cons to give a better idea of what to expect . Pros *Well decorated and very clean. *incredibly responsive host *good directions and local information *lots of extra towels and sheets * good little touches and stocked well with things you may need (even had foldable baby bed ) *Spacious *close to metro which is a SUPER plus *beds were really comfy and we all had an awesome night sleep. * overall welcoming and comfortable space Cons/ things to consider *Strict about noise so if you have littles or want to bring friends back just beware. No noise or music after 9. *like most of Paris , there is no AC. They do have fans in every room which was great but the only windows are skylights and so it gets hot and the airflow is a minimum. (This one could just be a problem for us AC obsessed Americans ). *Once inside the apartment building and courtyard it feels safe but i didn’t feel comfortable walking around the street at all, especially in the evening and with my little kids. We had a fabulous stay at Raphael's apartment. The space exceeded our expectations as it's super huge for Paris standards with two showers and four bathroom sinks. It was a close walk to the metro which was important for us.
